Mrs. Fraida Raskin, B.A., B.S., AMS-certified

Director of Education

Mrs. Fraida Raskin brings over a decade of educational leadership to JUDAH Hebrew School, where she serves as Director. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Education from the Michigan Jewish Institute and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Excelsior College. Fraida is also AMS-certified in Montessori education for both infant-toddler and early childhood levels. Currently, she is pursuing a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology at the University of Cincinnati, with an expected graduation in May 2025, further enhancing her expertise in child development. Fraida’s visionary leadership and unwavering dedication foster a nurturing environment at JUDAH Hebrew School, encouraging each child to thrive both academically and personally.

Morah Keti Layani

Morah Keti, raised in Israel, brings an authentic Israeli spirit and cultural richness to her classroom. With over a decade of teaching experience and specialized Montessori training, she creates a warm, supportive learning environment that nurtures the whole child, academically, socially, and emotionally. As the lead teacher at Gan Montessori, Morah Keti combines her expertise and cultural background to foster a love for learning and a strong sense of community. Her unique approach ensures that students gain both academic knowledge and a deep appreciation for diverse cultures and traditions.

Shayal Layani

Shayal is a senior at Berman Hebrew Academy and currently volunteers as a reading helper at a Hebrew day school. Born and raised in Maryland, Shayal has deep roots in Israeli culture, thanks to her parents' heritage. With a strong connection to Israeli culture and fluency in Hebrew, she brings a deep understanding of the language to support young learners. Her goal is to inspire and assist students while sharing her passion for Hebrew.


Rabbi Levi Raskin Director of Chabad of Aspen Hill & JCrafts by Chabad

Rabbi Levi Raskin serves as the director of Chabad of Aspen Hill and is the founding director of JCrafts by Chabad, where he brings a wealth of leadership and community-building experience. With a deep commitment to Jewish education and outreach, Rabbi Raskin plays a pivotal role in guiding spiritual and educational initiatives within the Aspen Hill community. His dedication to fostering a vibrant Jewish life is evident through his compassionate leadership and innovative programs at Chabad of Aspen Hill and JCrafts by Chabad, ensuring a welcoming and inclusive environment for all.
