Chabad Shul Speaker Series

Whether it's "An Officer's Quest For Balance and Healing" from a good Jewish cop, to an acclaimed author telling her tale “From Miniskirt to Hijab in Revolutionary Iran", or the story of a woman who went from competing internationally as a figure skater to expand her horizons and deepen her sense of purpose, to an in-depth discussion of cremation vs. burial, there is something for everyone to learn and enjoy at Chabad Shul of Aspen Hill Speaker Series.

Upcoming Presentation

Thursday, May 26 at 7:30 p.m., Randi Biederman will lead us through her family's fascinating journey as we travel back in time and hear the unique story of one family’s escape and survival from the holocaust.

Randi will share the extraordinary story of a 20-year quest to find gold coins that her father-in-law’s family buried in their backyard in Poland just before being deported by the Nazis and what he uncovered due to the search. During this quest, Randi discovers and unearths many intriguing facts about her husband's parents and their families, including that her father-in-law had a chance meeting with Adolf Hitler, was on Schindler’s list, and that his mother was chosen as a cook for the infamous Dr. Joseph Mengele.
