Chabad Shul Speaker Series

Whether it's "An Officer's Quest For Balance and Healing" from a good Jewish cop, to an acclaimed author telling her tale “From Miniskirt to Hijab in Revolutionary Iran", or the story of a woman who went from competing internationally as a figure skater to expand her horizons and deepen her sense of purpose, to an in-depth discussion of cremation vs. burial, there is something for everyone to learn and enjoy at Chabad Shul of Aspen Hill Speaker Series.

Upcoming Presentation

A hundred and twenty years ago a hidden storehouse of over 300,000 fragments of medieval Jewish manuscripts and documents were discovered in an old Cairo Synagogue. Today the most cutting-edge digital platforms and tools are being used to unlock the secrets of the past. Dr. Sacher will focus on the discovery of the Genizah, its importance, and how our past and our future fuse to make us who we are today.

Join us on August 2 for Dr. Sacher’s presentation “Jewish Time Discovery―The Discovery of the Cairo Genizah”.
